An ancient Nrisimha Temple is there in Deulbari Debipur village, Kultali. Deulbari Debipur village, one of the rare Historical sites, is located in the Kultali subdivision of South Twenty-Four Parganas district in West Bengal, India. It is 15.9 km from the sub-district headquarters. Jamtalahat (the Tehsildar office) and 82.7 km from district headquarters in Alipore. The South 24 Parganas region is divided into two separate physiographic zones: the sea-river delta region in the north and the sea delta region in the south. When the sea retreated southward in recent geological time, a large low plain was exposed. Both tidal currents and rivers deposited sediments on this plateau. The regular collapse of both natural spas and man-made dams accelerates the filling of depressions containing brackish wetlands. The South Sea delta is formed by interwoven tidal channels. As there is little salt-free water for irrigation, agriculture is governed by the monsoon. Some wetlands are still preserved for fish farming.

Nrisimha Temple Deulbari Debipur village
A huge pile of bricks! Deulbari villagers under the Kultali block south of 24 Pgs believe that this old Nrisimha Temple was built during the Sen Dynasty (11th–12th centuries), and this architecture has helped them in many ways even when the Nrisimha temple is in a state of decay. When the whole village is wiped out by calamities, the Nrisimha temple becomes a place of refuge for the afflicted villagers. The debris locally known as ‘Nrisimha Temple’ has no enclosure, no canopy, and weeds grow all around. The Nrisimha idols are still on the front altar of the temple. The people of this village perform daily worship in this temple. According to Soumitra Mandal, a resident of this village, there used to be a tomb for this temple. There used to be idols of other deities in this temple. The fishermen of this village go fishing in this estuary. If the site is acquired and developed by WBTDC, it can become one of the most sought-after heritage tourism destinations in India.

The ancient traditions
Residents of this village have expressed their belief that lot more idols except Nrisimha idol stolen from the Nrisimha Temple and that the Nrisimha Temple was constructed by Sen ruler Ballal Sen(1160 AD – 1179 AD ) in the past. They have also expressed their belief that many archaeological remains may be found beneath the Nrisimha Temple. The village has been affected by natural disasters such as Aila and Yash, yet nothing has been done to the temple. People have taken refuge in the Nrisimha Temple when a cyclone hits, and the temple is their place of worship. The Nrisimha Temple premises are also the site of the Baisakh gostha mela and the Harinam songkirtan, both of which are held each month in Bhadra. The fishermen of the village have a tradition of praying to the Lord of the Nrisimha Temple before sailing.
Preservation Efforts
The former Member of the Left Front Government from Kultali Constituency had made a promise to allocate Rs. 250000 to renovate the temple prior to the assembly election; however, no further progress has been made to this end. The villagers are asking the administration to restore this wrecked temple and surround it with a wall. Deulbari MLA Ganesh Mandal assured that a proper investigation would be done. however, no action has been taken on this matter. I would like to request The Archaeological survey of India (ASI) to take over this ancient Narsimha temple and start excavation at the earliest. I believe some important artifacts will be discovered, by which some important socio-economic historical information can be found during the Sen Era. If you want to get the most out of your Minecraft archaeology, let’s get started!I am eager to get information of this ancient temple in India.

Sri Ramkrishna Ashram is not a branch of Ramakrishna Math, Belur Math, but follows the same ideas and ideology. It is a member center of the South 24 Paraganas Ramakrishna Vivekananda Bhava Prachar Parishad of Belur Math and adheres to their guidelines. You should visit this ashram by visiting the 3 branch centers: Kaikhali, Jhargram, and Bardhaman. In the year 1960, Sri Buddhanandaji started a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Nimpith to work for the poor people of Nimpith and the surrounding villages. In 1979, with the help of the ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) in New Delhi, Ramakrishna Kendra was established. Another important place to visit is the Fishery and Agricultural Research Center. All in all, it can be concluded that if the government can facilitate the road to debiupur, Kultali through Kolkata and develop this place as a perfect tourist destination, then good income will be generated from tourism. As we know that historical tourism helps revitalize economy. Apart from the historical significance of Kultali because it is situated in the sundarbans, if safari tourism is developed here, then many tourists will visit this place. Simultaneously this place can be prominent as eco tourism in India. Therefore, the rural areas falling under the poverty line will gain overall prosperity.
